Pepsi & Lays

Every year PepsiCo creates a “Power of One spot” in which they push Lays, Pepsi, Doritos, Dew & Bubly as the go-to snack for the holidays. But they were stuck in a vicious cycle of utilizing expensive celebs like Anna Kendrick & Jimmy Fallon and reinventing the wheel story-wise year after year. PepsiCo wanted something an iconic as Coca-Cola’s Polar Bears – something they could build equity upon each year. So we gave them Chip and his pals Slush, Sleet, Ava Lanche, and Flurry. Below is 3 back to back years of work for the holidays.

The brand decided to run our hero spot again the following year & support it with some :06 mini-moments

 

And then the year after that, the brand doubled-down on our successful little snow-pals and created nine :06 vignettes to carry us through Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years

 
 

Nothing says Thanksgiving like a little football and it turns out our snowpals are big Buffalo Bills fans. Who knew?

 

We even had the pals packing & getting ready to head home for the holidays

 

 And unlike the previous celeb-driven spots, Chip and crew were able to translate from media to shelf and even out of home much more effortlessly.
